Toddle Inn Daycare Society

Meet the Team
Program Director
I am a highly experienced and dedicated professional in the field of childcare, with a Bachelor of Education, and Fashion design degree from India. I have also obtained my Flight Curriculum certification through MacEwan University. Having spent 12 years working in various daycare centers in Canada, I have gained invaluable expertise in caring for children of all ages, from newborns to 12-year-olds. My passion for this work led me to join Toddle Inn Daycare Society as a program director in 2021, and I have been thrilled with every moment of it. Being part of a non-profit organization that supports families in our community gives my job a profound sense of purpose. I have been married for 23 years and as mother of two, I understand the importance of quality care and the positive impact it can have on children's lives. My mission is to elevate Toddle Inn Daycare Society to its highest potential, ensuring that children and families receive the absolute best care possible.

I've been working in childcare for a whopping 30 years now. I've had experience in both daycare centers and even ran my own dayhome. I've worked with kids of all ages, from little infants to energetic 13-year-olds. When I'm not busy at work, I absolutely love spending quality time with my lovely family and my adorable cats.

I am Level 1 certified and currently enrolled at RDP to obtain my Level 3 certification. I absolutely adore spending time with children because they have such a pure and genuine way of showing love. Playing with them brings me so much joy and peace, and I learn something new from them every single day. Trust me, there's never a dull moment when you're around kids! So, instead of reaching for that second or third cup of coffee to get through the day, why not spend some time with a little one? They'll boost your energy levels in no time!

I've been a part of the childcare world for many years now. Starting back in the U.K., I've continued my passion for nurturing little ones since moving to Canada almost 16 years ago. And let me tell you, I don’t regret a second of it! In addition to my fulfilling career, I've been happily married for 37 years (yikes!), and I am blessed with two amazing sons and two adorable granddaughters. When I'm not busy with my family or work, you can find me indulging in my hobbies. I have a soft spot for dragons and fairies, and I love spending time in my garden, surrounded by nature. I'm also a bit of a genealogy buff, always eager to learn more about my family's history. But above all, my favourite role is being a Nana - there's nothing quite like the joy of watching my grandbabies grow and thrive.

I've been working with children since 2022 and I absolutely love it. Right now, I have a level one certification in childcare, but I'm currently attending Bow Valley College to pursue my Level 3 in early childcare education. It's been such a rewarding journey so far, and I can't wait to continue learning and growing in this field.

I'm pretty new to the childcare field. I was born and raised in India, but I've been living in Canada for a few years now. I've got quite a few degrees under my belt - a Bachelor's in Education, a Bachelor of Arts, a Master's in English Literature, a Master's in Business Administration, and a Diploma in Pharmacy. On top of that, I'm a proud parent of two lovely children. I absolutely love being around kids and spending time with them.

I've been working in childcare since 2008, and it has been a rewarding experience for me. Over the years, I've had the pleasure of working with children ranging from 12 months to 12 years old. In 2013, I completed my Early Learning and Childcare Diploma at Medicine Hat College, which further enhanced my skills and knowledge in this field. I joined the Toddle Inn Daycare Society in December of 2022 as an Out of School Care (OOSC) staff and have loved it since!

I'm pretty new to the childcare field, but I've been loving every minute of it since I started at Toddle Inn Daycare Society in July 2023. I'm a patient and quick learner, and working with children just brightens up my day. Right now, I have my Level 1 ELC certification, and I'm also studying at RDP in the ELCC Diploma program to get my Level 3 certification.

This career is full of promise and reward, I take great joy working with the children of our future. As the oldest of five and a mom that ran a dayhome and then began working at an elementary school through my childhood, I was exposed to childcare at a very young age. I too began babysitting, expanding to volunteering in classrooms, moving into having my own toddler classrooms in the daycares I had the pleasure of working in as I moved through adulthood and into motherhood. Once my oldest was born, I opened a dayhome that allowed me to raise three beautiful daughters for the last 20 years. When not working, my husband and I like to explore the little towns of Alberta, camping and enjoying nature with our two dogs. I have an addiction to gardening and photography and spend most of the year outdoors indulging in these hobbies.

I've had the pleasure of working with children for over 15 years in a variety of roles, including being a camp counsellor, teaching kindergarten, substituting in high school, and working as a daycare educator. But when I'm not busy with the little ones, you'll often find me out in nature, chasing after my partner and our big, lovable white dog.

I have a background in computer science and I've also earned my level 1 ECE certification. I am in the process of completing my Level 3 certification But what really gets me excited is creating fun and educational experiences for young children. I truly believe that learning should be enjoyable, and I'm thrilled to be a part of their journey as they discover more about the world around them.

Over the last four years, I have gained valuable experience in the childcare industry, beginning in 2019 as a staff member in an OSC program. Throughout my professional journey, I have had the privilege of working with children ranging from newborns to 12-year-olds. Currently, I am pursuing my ELCC diploma at Red Deer Polytechnic and simultaneously working towards a Bachelor's in Nursing at MRU. My ultimate goal is to create a secure and supportive atmosphere for children, enabling them to flourish and achieve their utmost capabilities.

Avneet Singh
(Float Staff)

Hello! My name is Avneet and I have a level 1 certificate in Early Childhood. I have also completed my brain story certification. Recentley I have also taken on a position working with I'm for Kids. My passion for working with children began when I was in high school where I spent most of my time volunteering at Public Libraries usually within the community to help lead programs such as Writing and Reading Buddies along with university students. From that, I decided to become a Math Tutor through a private company and then began my journey as an individual tutor which has been a special part of my life for the past 4 years. I also took part in specific clubs at University such as AAS (Autism Awareness Club), and mental health clubs. Watching children blossom and grow into their best versions is rewarding and is also one of the main reasons I am in this profession. I cannot wait to keep growing and learning more in this field every day!
